Cookies!

When I was younger we usually had homemade cookies in our house. They are way better and you get more for less. So, I have started making cookies again. The part that is a pain is I usually don't start until around 7:00 or 8:00, double the recipe and use all whole bag of chips. Therefore I end up cooking until midnightish (I don't know if that is a word but I am using it).
So, this last time I asked the kids if they wanted to make the cookies. They were very excited about it. I still had to finish the baking and wasn't done until midnightish. But that was okay.
I like the fact that they were doing it together. Aren't they cute!

Miss Moe!

Finally! The long awaited pictures of Blake's guinea pig, Miss Moe.
She has lovely hair.
She likes to be around him and she just chirps (whatever you call the noises she makes) away.

I think they speak their own language and she is telling him the answers to his homework.

Christmas!

Finally, Christmas pictures.
Yes, we have a fake tree. For people from Oregon this is uncool. But, real trees are expensive here on the surface of the sun. When we did buy them we would go find a tree lot from Oregon. Believe it or not there are some down here. We got one from Sweet Home one year.
Desirae and her BIG frog. She named it Froggie, hmmmm.
Kirk got skinny jeans. Kirk needs skinny jeans LOL. He actually looks like he has a butt now (I can say this cuz I am his mommy).
Blake got both a scooter and a nerf gun. So what do you think came next...drive by shootings all through the house. No one was safe. Leave it to Blake.
Baby Jorge opened his own gifts with the help of Daddy Jorge.
Baby Jorge once again had to watch everyone eat the good stuff. He said (I know cuz he told me once again) they have the yummys and I get to chew on this pink thing, so unfair. I told him next year I will make a plate just for him.

Mom can't look!

Yes, that is Kirk skateboarding on a ramp. Yes, the ramp is in our driveway. Yes, he built it. Enough said.

My 3 Santas!

Every year I get someone (thanks Sandy and/or Bert) to take a pic of the kids for our holiday cards. This year I took the pic myself with my wonderful camera (thanks Baka).
Not bad if I do say so myself. Of course they are some good-looking children so as long as they smile at the same time, look at the camera and I don't cut their heads off its not so hard.

Cookies!

In December we have a cookie decorating party for the brownies and they have lots of fun. Gina makes the cookies ahead of time then its frosting and sprinkles everywhere.
Desirae is working on her cookie masterpiece.

Blake is 11!

Every year when it comes to having Blake's b-day party we ask him what he wants to do. This year he wanted to go ice skating. So, we looked into it and he would only be able to ask a few people to go. He wanted to invite more people so he decided on the park. He always ends up deciding on the park. That's good for us because its free and I don't have to clean my house and then have it destroyed hours later and of course its free. Its a nice park up the street from us. It has restrooms, playgrounds and lots of things to do. We don't have to plan lots of things to do and did I mention its free.
Opening all the loot. We got him a guinea pig. He just loves it. Her name is Miss Mo (short for mohawk cuz her hair is a mess and has a mohawk). He tells us all the time that its the best gift he has every received. He told me a few weeks ago that he "likes it more then video game and that's saying a lot". (I will post pics).
We set up a treasure hunt. One of the clues led them to the citrus
orchard that is at the park. My friends (yeah I have some) Lisa and Rocio and I just tried to stay warm. Believe it or not it was cold, windy and cloudy.
